The Full Story

About AFM

I didn’t start Arizona Foundational Medicine to open a business.  I started it so I could practice medicine the way patients deserve.

The traditional system only allowed a few minutes with each person.

Schedules were packed, visits felt rushed, and too many medical

decisions were influenced by insurance requirements instead of patient

needs. I knew what many patients needed most was simple:

time, attention, and a doctor who truly knew them.

My perspective changed even more after spending nearly six years

dealing with my own health issues. Being on the patient side taught me

how frustrating and confusing healthcare can feel, and how much it

matters when a clinician actually listens and takes the time to

understand the whole story.

Arizona Foundational Medicine was built to restore that relationship.

Here, you are not a number on a schedule. You have direct access to

your clinician, longer visits, and thoughtful care focused not only on

treating illness, but on understanding and preventing it.

I created this practice so medicine could feel human again; the way I would want it for my own family, and the way I once needed it myself.

Mission

This is a calling. Not a profession. Our mission is to practice medicine the way it used to be; the way it was meant to be — with time to listen, freedom to act in the patient’s best interest, and a lasting relationship between doctor and patient.

Vision

Our vision is to be part of a renewal of medicine where clinicians are free to place compassion and patient needs above corporate pressures, and where patients once again know and trust their physician. We hope to inspire others in healthcare to return to relationship-centered care, to serve our community with regular opportunities for charitable care, and to grow into a place where patients can receive comprehensive, coordinated care under one roof.
